Clear Aligners Q & A

What are clear aligners?

Martindale Family Dentistry offers ClearCorrect clear aligners to correct misaligned or crooked teeth. It’s a painless, noninvasive orthodontic treatment that uses BPA-free, FDA-approved clear aligners to straighten teeth over time to give you the gorgeous smile you long for.

What are the benefits of clear aligners?

ClearCorrect aligners at Martindale Family Dentistry offer numerous aesthetic and functional benefits, including:

  • Straighter teeth
  • A more aligned bite
  • An aesthetically pleasing smile
  • Fewer gaps
  • Less crowding
  • Easier teeth cleaning
  • Clearer speech
  • More self-confidence
  • Enhanced comfort
  • No brackets or wires

Because ClearCorrect aligners are clear, many people won’t notice you’re wearing them. You can take the aligners out to brush your teeth or eat.

Are clear aligners right for me?

A comprehensive consultation allows your dentist at Martindale Family Dentistry to make sure ClearCorrect aligners are the right orthodontic procedure for you.

To find out if you’re a good candidate, they review your desired outcome and oral health history, examine your teeth and gums, and take dental X-rays.

What happens during clear aligner treatment?

To begin your clear aligner treatment, your dentist takes digital scans of your teeth. They can map out a treatment plan and show you what the end result looks like. A dental lab creates custom-fit aligners that fit comfortably over your natural teeth.

When your ClearCorrect aligners are ready, you wear them day and night, only taking them out to eat and brush your teeth. After about two weeks, you switch to the next set of aligners in your series. This continues until you complete treatment, which may take as little as 12-18 months.

How should I care for my aligners?

Care for your teeth and aligners during ClearCorrect treatment by brushing your teeth after meals. Clean aligners with a dentist-recommended cleaning system or brush them with a toothbrush and toothpaste.

Use warm water, not hot water, to rinse your aligners and call Martindale Family Dentistry if the aligners get damaged or lost.

Don’t live with imperfect teeth when simple orthodontic treatments can give you the smile of your dreams. Call Martindale Family Dentistry for a consultation today or book an appointment online.
